Up and Running

So I think Kristopher is officially walking. He has taken 5 steps right in a row for me. He was totally balanced and coordinated. He was so cute. Now I just better get some video of him crawling that is so cute. I need to figure out how to post videos on this because I'm sure everyone is sick of just seeing pictures but would love to see some video.


More and more Kristopher is sleeping through the night. (I hope I'm not jinxing myself.) It seems when I put him to sleep at 8:30 he sleeps through the night but if I put him to bed at 9 or any later he wakes up 2-3 times. Oh well, I just hope he is sleeping through by the next one. NOT ANYTIME SOON!! : ) For those of you who almost got your hopes up. I am nowhere near being ready. I just need to get through this first birthday party and I think I will be okay. Hehe. It is fun to plan but everything sure gets expensive. Even with the much appreciated help of the grandparents. So we're counting down the days until the big "1".


So now I'm experimenting with more and more table food and I think I am weaning myself off of baby food. Or at least I'll only eat it for my wonderful babysitter, Gail. (Which by the way I can call by name now.) I would much rather eat cooked green beans than the baby green beans. I like cooked carrot pieces, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, ravioli, spaghetti noodles, cooked shelled peas, chicken pieces, turkey pieces, ham, I can hardly keep up. I think it's pretty much to the point of avoiding the bad foods now. I am even starting to be stubborn and want to eat only if I can feed myself.

All this new food is just wearing me out. I just can't keep up.

Update

So I know it has been forever since I last posted but I don't really know what is new. I think Kristopher is now saying: Dag, Cat, Duck, Mama, Dada, Gail (babysitter) and who knows what else. He is getting braver as far as climbing!! He is climbing everywhere and on everything. He is especially fond of the super-dangerous tile garden tub in Mom and Dad's bathroom. I really like to scare Mom into thinking I'm going to go into the tub but I would rather just put all my toys in it and listen for the clanging of the toy hitting bottom.


For some reason, Kristopher is super attached to me when we get home for the day. I don't know why but he won't let me do anything without him. I'm sure it is just a phase and it will pass and I will miss him clinging to me. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so what did you do.

Oh well, he'll be fine. Sorry so short but will update soon.

And He's Off

So last night Kristopher took his first step. Daddy was of course the only witness so Mommy has yet to see him take a step. Oh well, this won't be his last step. I'm in trouble once he figures out the technique. He has also decided sometimes he does not want to crawl on his hands and knees but rather his feet and hands. It is so funny. I'm thinking he knows this is the quickest way to a stand after he gets where he needs to be.

This also starts the longest time he will be away from Daddy. Who is in Canada all week training for work. I'm sure Kristopher will be missing him but we'll be sure to find out when Daddy gets back Friday night.

Tooth #3

So we have gotten another tooth and it's on top this time.

I think they are really bothering him because he is still not sleeping through the night but sleeping most of the night. He likes to get up right at 4:30 just early enough so Mommy cannot really go back to sleep before getting up at 5:30. Oh well, I guess that is one of the joys of being a parent.

Other than that Kristopher is just crawling around and wanting to walk more and more everyday. Although, he did walk ALL the way down the hallway holding onto his "Mater" Truck, like he has been walking for weeks. Then of course he let go and went down to his hands and knees. Oh well, almost.
